How much does Bio-Spira cost. I've been to the website and it doesn't give the price. I am about to move and need to know so I can be prepared.

Has anyone ever used this stuff? I've heard many of you sing its praises but have you used it?

I have used it tons of times. My cost is much different than you, as I have to ship it in (Canada doesn't sell it). It costs me ~30 bucks. Try calling an LFS that carries it and ask them.

It's unavailable in canada unless you special order it, so i've never used it.

But there certainly are many who have used it. Unfortunately it's kind of a specialty item, and not many stores bother carrying it.

I think I recall someone saying they got it for around 50$ maybe?

it more likely has not been approved by health canada or whatever. it takes a lot longer for things to get approved here than in the states.

No lfs around here carry bio-spira (I'm in the USA)... I think it's a lot easier and cost-effective for them to push Cycle. I ordered mine from ebay and I think it ran maybe like $20? shipping? Maybe $15 I don't remember. I had pretty good success with it, took about a week to cycle my tank. It definately boosted it. I didn't religiously follow all the little safeguards like no using amquel and whatnot.

Great I'll be prepared to pay around $50 for it. Is that too high or about right.

That sounds high....

Its been over a year since I bought some so I dont remember exactly. At the local LFS they had two sizes for sale. A 30 gallon and a 90 gallon version. I think the 90G was ~$20.

Its all a little hazy so I could be off.

$50 sounds a bit high, yeah? Are you ordering online or getting it from a LFS?

I got some about 2 months ago at an LFS in New Orleans. The small pouch (I think for 30 gallons) was 8.99.
