Hello all, quick question.
Would a L84xH30xW30 or maybe if I can a L84xH30xW36 tank be ok to keep a mabu in with some community fish, not decided what other fish yet.
Always wanted to look after a mabu and would get the little 1 as a baby.
Please any thoughts or suggestions.

I would go with the 2nd choice, since they can easily grow to 30".

Yeah I can fit the second measurement tank in, but that's the biggest tank I can house.
Will it be fair to put a mabu in there or should I give up on my mabu dream?.

It's definitely the smallest I'd recommend keeping one in. Did you read that article about the kind of filtration recommended?

I was curious to the volume of the tank you are describing, so I put the dimensions you gave into the calculator to see how big the tank is. 392.74 US gallons!

Now I can translate all these LxHxW posts I see and get a better picture of what people are talking about.

Just consider that is gross volume. Net volume will be much lower. If you can provide the filtration needed for this monster then perhaps give it a shot. However you might find yourself wishing for more space for him once fully grown.
