Any valentine owners out there? I just picked up one for my 40g breeder. Love their colors.

I've owned a few. Also, bluespots & a cousin of the val (I forget the name).

So far it has left my corals alone. That is a bonus.

I think the vals are the most reef safe of all SW puffers. Although, it doers depend on the individual puffer.

Mine has been fine with coral. It's just snails, crabs, feather dusters etc that have been decimated

Up until this week, i had a really nice feather duster...had. Otherwise, it's been pretty nice.

I've had some tobies. They never seemed interested in the corals growing on my live rock.

Not a valentini but my gsp will tolerate everything but feather dusters. The retracting motion when he gets near drives him nuts and he attacks.

I had a nice little feather duster that happened to set up shop right in the center of my display tank. I think it was actually the first bit of food my valentini ate when I put it in the tank. Sigh, oh well. As long as my zoa's continue to get left alone I'm happy. And if it eats those as well, I guess i'll get over it.

You should be fine. From what I gather softies don't taste very good and they don't have the crunchyness our puffers love.
