Am I crazy, or is my puffer a maniac?

My little girl has a dwarf puffer and it eats brine shrimp, snails, and sometimes she will nibble flake food the other fish missed. She has NO snails in her tank. Well I borrowed her puffer because my tank had a snail bomb go off a couple months ago and I can't get it under control. No joke, I wake up every morning to what looks like 1000+ super tiny pond snails everywhere. They've eaten all of my plants and it's just crazy. ANYWAY I put her puffer in my tank, and the next day I woke up to almost NO snails. All day today I have seen only a couple of them. Did she eat or kill ALL of those snails? Or are they hiding from her?

Haha. If they were very tiny snails its very possible she ate most of them

A lot of snails showed back up, but my tank isn't anywhere near as overrun. There's enough to make buying any plants a waste of money. She never really looks any bigger, but then again she's not even 10mm around so hard to tell for me. If you took a Sharpie and made a dot, the snails are smaller than that.
