So I just dosed my puffers tank with prazipro, I didnt realize people were soaking their food until just a few minutes ago. I did a 50% water change like the instructions stated then dosed my 40b with 2 teaspoons.
He's not sick or anything its more of a prevention. Will he be alright?

Wasting your $$$ on meds. FW puffers do not drink water.

Really? I figured these fish absorb, or soak in, the water all around them which is like drinking water.

So should I wait til the next water change to soak some food and feed, or can I do it now? Dont want to overdose it

The med will reduce the oxygen absorbtion rate of the water that's really the only downside to wasting money by the tank dosing. Puffers don't drink water so the water dosed meds are not effectively getting to the internal parasites. The only effective way is to food dose. You can go ahead and food dose now.

As in feeding them salmon that is dosed with prazi? Any food should be sufficient to soak in prazi I just haven't heard of anyone feeding their puffs salmon before.

You can't overdose this med, when feeding to your fish. Just "salt" the food with it.

Ok guys, I just came home from work I havent dosed his food yet...but I did notice he has something stringing hanging out with a tiny little round ball attached. Ive never seen a parasite but im assuming this is it. I guess the meds are working question is should I still go ahead and medicate him orally. Look at the video

Do you have to do this with General Cure too? Feed it to them?
