Hi guys!

I bought 2 dwarf puffers about 3 months ago and had absolutely no problems until now that one of them is sick, and i dont know whats wrong!

Ive got a 50liter tank with 2 guppies, 2 glow lights, 2 white clouds, 1 aglae eater and then the 2 dwarf puffers ofcorse. Got my water tested and its 100%, i know its not the answer that you are looking for but it is. I feed my fish flake food and the puffers live brine shrimp. I do 10%-20% water changes twice a week. Fake plants with small amount of java moss.

One of my puffers is in a bad state, noticed small changes in his behavior about a week ago but thought he was just being grumpy or something. Hes not eating at all and is rooted to the bottem of my tank, very thin and hardly moves, at all! Might this be a parasite or what? What can i do to save him?

Would apreciate any help asap!
thanx in advance

Brine shrimp have little to no nutrition. Try feeding it meaty foods like small pieces of people shrimp soaked in fish vitamins & live/frozen blackworms or bloodworms. If you keep fish, you need your own test kits.

parasites are a common problem
best help I can give you is to guide you to the puffer care articles, available in The Puffer Library ("learn" button at the top of this page)

May be a case of IP. You should get Prazipro and dose him if possible. It may be too late. You can always dose the other puff to error on the side of caution.

You can't just dose a tank for IPs. Gotta soak their food in it.
