Beautiful woods near where I live

Picked up some nice stones with interesting shapes and curves which make small caves if they are placed the right way.

They are flint-stones (yabba-dabba-don't make the obvious jokes) coated in thick chalk/limestone.

The flint is a very smooth, hard rock and I would like it in my tank. The lime coating is filthy.

Chucked them in a used salt bucket. Poured over 10L of white vinegar.

Leaving it to soak. Some of the lime is coming away real easy. Some of it is being stubborn as ****.

Fingers crossed I'll have some pretty cool decorations by out of this within the next couple of days.

They are very much like this but dirtier and a bit more interesting and complex in shape

Looks like you have the working for a pretty cool setup. Would love to see more pics of the cleaned rocked and hardscaping as it progresses.

Slow progress with the cleaning but effort free as I'm just letting it soak.

There are some jagged tunnels in the rock which I might fill in with sealant.
They are too small for the fish anyway and might be a pain in the a** to clean out
If this works I'll be sorted for decorations - the woods are full of these.
