I recently just purchased a GSP and he has weird circular marks on both of his sides. My main concern is, is it something I should be worried about? I was told that it was nothing serious and probably just got beat up from the other puffers in the tank. He was the smallest one and most of his tank mates were much larger figure 8 puffers. I have had him in my tank for 4 days now and he is very active and has been eating just fine. If its not a health issue, my next question is will it ever go away or will he have it for the rest of his life?

These are bite marks from other puffers. Melafix should advance healing & help reduce scarring.

Some other members may be able to expand on information about scarring but I have some dps that had bite inflicted scarring about a year ago that have reduced alot .
