How long

Hi all, does anyone know how long a puffer can go without feeding. I'm going away for a week and my LFS said it would be OK to feed him before i left and he would be fine when i get back. Any thoughts ppl??

thanks guys/girls for your replies. When i got him/her from the LFS they said he was a Green Puffer he is a light green with one large black spot either side off his body near his rear. He is about 2 1/2inches long.

I generally don't leave my puffs unattended for more than three/four days without being fed, tank parameters checked. I usually get someone, petsitter/friend/family member, to do this for me if I plan on being gone longer.

I'm about to leave my puffer for 2 weeks this summer but sombody is going to come after a week to feed him.
