One question... do you have a figure 8 in a saltwater marine tank?
Also 2 x GSPs in a 29 gallon?

I've seen F8s in salt before with no problem.

Yes, but how long have they lived in there Perek? To their possible 18+ years? Since RTR did countless tanks for 10 years w/F8s in different salinity's & found out they do best at 1.005, that's where my F8s will remain.
Also 2 x GSPs in a 29 gallon?
Eventually, the GSPs will have to be move into a tank at least 2x as large, the F8 could remain in the 29g & the SG could be lowered. A huge waste of salt, IMO, as they could be living in a much lower SG at that age. Large water (50% weekly) changes are still necessary in that tank.

My puffs are in full SW along with the other guys and there doing great, The 29 gal is the baby tank, we have a 55 that will house them as soon as I get the 125+ for the 2 DFP I have in my room. F8 and the GSP are doing well they came from the same fish store that didnt know what they were doing and had them housed together. They seemed like a happy couple so we took them home . We have added other fish to the tank and they are fine, we keep them well fed and that seems to make the tension in the tank better.
As for the water I use, we have LFS that pre mixes everything. ITs cheaper then getting the salt and all the mixing and mess, He sells 5 gal drums, and my rate is 11 jugs for 28.00. the salt mix here is 55gal mix for 40.00. and if any thing goes wrong with my tank I can get there water to add to it .
