My light fixture for my 55-gallon GSP tank recently broke. I am looking for a new fixture, and was wondering what the optimal light temperature (kelvin) is for GSP? It is my understanding that GSP have sensitive eyes to light. I'm currently looking at a Fluorescent one that has Kelvin rating of 5200 degrees. What would be the optimal range of light temperature?

Not sure about optimal but i use an an Aquatic Life 4bulb t5ho system with two 10k daylights the AL purple and an ATI superblue. On the stock timer settings. My gsp doesnt seem to mind it.

So, your color temp is 10,000 Kelvin? Just 2 GSPs.

Yes for my white bulbs. The purple is 460/620nm and not sure what the blue plus from ati puts out. But i do keep some corals in this tank as well.
