So i have a very good relationship with my lfs. There are many times i will get items discounted or if low cost free. But i have a conundrum. About two weeks ago they got in a shipment of above 20 saps. When i went today they had three left all of which have massively overgrown teeth. I highly doubt they sold the other 17. I dont want to insult the owner, but these puffs are going to die if they dont get thier teeth trimmed. I have no experience with trimming so i do not feel comfortable offering to do this myself. I also doubt they will alocate a worker to take the time to do this for what they are selling the fish for. Are they a lost cause? I hate to see puffs suffer unnecessarily.

Print my article for them. Maybe at least, they won't order them again.

It shouldn't offend them at all. In my experience most of the time they are interested in that kind of stuff. I actually had a conversation with the girl at my LFS yesterday regarding a sick Porc they have that they "don't know what's wrong with him" (I am turning into the next puff-doc according to BedScien ). If/when you do talk to them.... Let them know that it really isn't as difficult as it sounds and takes almost no time at all. They could have the buckets set up and have several of them trimmed up and ready to get back into their "for sale" tanks in relatively no time at all instead of them dying a miserable death. A couple of youtube videos will prove that. I have only done it once and while terrified I wouldn't hesitate to do it again, seriously. Hate for those little guys to suffer unnecessarily.
