I just wanted to write a quick note to anyone that comes across this looking for answers for your sick puffer.

I have been dealing with many issues with my puffer for a couple of months now from being picked on, not eating, breathing heavy, turning dark in color, laying on the bottom, possibly needing a tooth trim and possibly having an internal parasite. The information that I have learned here has been amazing. The people in the forum are knowledgable and caring.

My advice to anyone is to read the articles in the library and watch the videos that are linked to in threads, and ask questions. Then read the articles and the watch the videos again. And in all honesty, the procedures can be scary, but it's not as hard as you think it is going to be. This week I have sedated and trimmed teeth and tube feed my little guy. Even though you will be extremely nervous, take a breath and be confident in your decision to help your little friend. Knowing that without you doing this he will most certainly die. And recruit someone to help you, even if you don't think you need help. It makes it infintly easier to have 4 hands instead of 2, even if just to hand you things.

My Puffy is far from out of the woods yet but I am greatful to the people whom have tried to help me and for the knowledge that I have gained here. Thank you!

And I wish you the best of luck if your little friend is in trouble.
