Title says it all, if anyone has any heavy-duty canister filters laying around, I might be interested in buying it! I'd prefer a fluval fx5, but I will take any offers into consideration.

If you can't find a canister filter you could always make a "sump/filter" out of a old ten or twenty gallon.

Check out Petsmart.com

I think they are trying to clear out old stock. Sale is at $187.99 + tax. The catch is you have to pick up from a store. I just bought one and have to drive about 20 minutes away to get it. Total for a new FX5 with tax for me was $205.85. Will post if I have any issues.

When I went to get it the pick up slip said FX5/6. When I got it, guess what? Turned out to be an FX6!

Nice, thats a pretty good deal! everywhere else I see fx6 are $330. I just tried looking, and it says every store within 50 miles is out of stock
Been pondering over whether or not to get this filter... it's unfamiliar brand name and extremely high gph claim leave me a little wary though.

Ive seen a few Odyssea filters being used on MFK forums. That unit you have the link to is supposed to be pretty decent. I guess the only real issue is some parts are made a bit cheaper and need to be replaced more often from what I have seen.
The new Odyssea CFS 14i is pretty awesome, its like 39" tall!
