So I have noticed a pinkish buildup on the inside of my python hose. So far I have not used it to fill any of my barrels since I have seen this. I am somewhat concerned that whatever this is may contaminate the water. Has anyone run into amything growinh inside siphon tubing? And If so best way to elminate it, flushing bleach or some other cleaner down the line, attempting to get it with a hose brush, or should I be cutting these sections out?

I think it's just algae, I had the same with a clear tube/hose that I used for water changes. I don't think you need to worry about it.

I have run bleach water through mine occasionally.

So mix a bleach solution in a 5 gallon and siphon it, then flush by switching to fill down a drain?

So I did the bleach siphon. Let the line sit for 10 min filled with the mixture then flushed the line for 5 minutes. It didnt not remove the coloration but ill keep checking over the next couple days/weeks for any change or spread.
