I am completely new to the forum I bought my first 2 puffers 2 days ago and they are doing great. This forum uses a TON of abbreviations in the posts, topics etc. I can't seem to figure some of them out..does anybody have a guide to these someplace?

Thanks!

Welcome SysFail,

Many abbreviations are found in the "Sticky" in General Discussion called "Commonly Used Acronyms and Abbreviations".

Before you know it, they'll be second nature to you too. If stumped, don't be afraid to ask in the topic where it appears! People are helpful here!

how about abbreviations for the puffers themselves?

eg: F8 must mean figure 8s

I think I have the green spotted puffers...
My LFS ( my first abbreviation!) had em marked as figure 8s but I'm positive they are something else.

You can post your experiences with this LFS at "Favorite Pet Store" or "The Puffer Shop" in the Classified area (provided they are good to you...).

Interesting promotion - I can't imagine it would apply to tanks or buckets of salt, would it?

I will find out the particulars this evening. I know it applies to tank plants/rocks etc, which is what I am after tonight. I think it is for "accessories" If it is for tanks, I may need a bigger room hahahaha
