Reggie my porc decided yesterday, while i was doing a water change, to go base jumping. I tried getting him back in the water before he puffed but he managed to swallow some air. I read the article about puffing them, and did get most of the air out, but he still has some in there. He can swim around, but he seems to be fighting the floating. I have a few questions:

1. How do you, and how hard do you push on their stomachs to work the air out?

2. How long and how many times can he puff before taking a break to calm him down?

3. I had a hard time getting any air out of him, is this normal or is he holding the air in?

heres the best trick for porcs. ctach him but dont apply any pressure, he should partially puff but not much. turn his head straight up and GENTLY i mean barely start to put even pressure on him he will puff immidietly to the size of your hand. relax your prip and apply the same level of pressure to get him up to the next size. that allows him a break, less stress and you cant hurt them. also its likely that with breaks in between they will pass thhe air much easier.
