I am starting a marine tank soon and would like to have a Figure 8 in my reef tank. I would therefore not have a cleanup crew if I get a F8. Only problem is acclimation. The fish would arrive in fresh water so I obviously need to drip acclimate it. Question is...will I shock it if I drip acclimate slowly over 2-3 hours from fresh to salt or for longer?

F8s do way better in low-end BW, not SW. GSPs, on the other hand are perfect for SW. They definitely are NOT reef safe. You might want to tri one of the toby species.
