Woke this morning to find one of my babies had jumped ship. The tank has glass lid but there are two small gaps in it. Has this just been an unfortunate accident?

Unfortunately, puffers - and many other fish - are great jumpers. If there is an opening, sooner or later a fish will find it. Tape rigid piece of plastic over it, or cut down something flexible to act as a stopper or "cork".

Thanks RTR. Two gaps in the glass lid which I will be sorting tonight, have been at work all day. Gutted, but a lesson learned

Unfortunately, the hardest lessons are the ones we remember best. At least for me...
