Fed my dwarf puffers tonight, I fed them frozen bloodworms as usual, I did put more in than usual as they always seem hungry and about 10 mins later they have both vomited it back! Is this ok? I normally only give them 2each, shall I go back to 2 every other night?

did you defrost the bloodworms before feeding?
were the bloodworms spoiled?
I've brought home frozen bloodworms that didn't smell too good after defrosting
Otherwise, I'd suspect that they ate more than they're used to

Yes I always defrost it first, it gets shared between all other tanks as far too much for just 2 little puffers! How often do you feed yours?

Defrost, rinse & drain through a brine shrimp net. I also soak in a good fish vitamin while defrosting. A shot glass with a couple drops works well for small amounts.

I feed dwarf puffers 6x a week, just a few bites each so their tummies are slightly rounded

Maybe I've been under feeding them, I was only feeding them 3times a week, I better start rinsing them too!

Hey Markalgar, I think it's bad for the dps stomachs to ingest ice

You are also contaminating the tank much more with the melted ice from the frozen food. Not good practice for the tank or the fish. Thaw and drain and/or rinse, then feed. The fish do not need the cold food, and the tank does not need the organic pollution (most of which cannot be measured with hobby test kits).
