So I have 3 dwarf puffers in my tank, after reading lots and lots and lots I can't decide if I should put either dwarf oto's in with them or amano shrimp to help cleaning? Has anyone actually done this? Is it realistic?

How big is the tank?

How long has it been established?

Does it have dense live plants?

Tank is 70litres, had puffers in for about 1 month, but previous to that had some fish in to help it become established. It has quite a few live plants in and a fair size piece of bog wood, I'm putting even more plants in this weekend.

That is a bit small for other tankmates IME.

Can you tell the genders of the DPs yet?

I have not co-housed 2 male DPs in less than a 40-long US gallon tank (w/3-4 females) and 1-2 Otocinclus cats. I have kept one DP male w/2-3 females without other fish in a US 33 gallon extra-long tank. I used a couple of those set-ups for breeding. I had to add a 24/7 lighted refugium to provide enough infusoria for the fry. It was not terribly productive, but they did work.
