I think it's a fahaka but I'm worried it's not



You are the experts. Help me please

Now I'm thinking it may be an mbu and I'm gonna need to get a massive tank

Fahaka. No doubt. There's distinctive stripes below the belly toward the tail end.

Poor emaciated lil guy.

To me he looks more like a juvenile mbu due to the more vivid yellow colouration. Niether of my juvy fahakas were that bright yellow.

However, as I haven't seen your fish in the flesh and seen how it's colours in natural light, it's size and configuration nor seen how it swims, I could be wrong. But he does need a lot of TLC.

I'll need it. So far it seems to be going well. He is eating well. I'm about to give him his first piece of shrimp with medicine today. Tried with bloodworms yesterday and the day before but he only ate one single bloodworm each time. I did notice a nice solid poo yesterday, not stringy or anything so I'm wondering if maybe he doesn't have worms he just hasn't been fed well. He swims around the entire tank and inspects everything so I believe that's a good sign. I'm hoping he fares well as I don't like just replacing fish all the time like the average joe does.
