Hello all and what a great forum. My name is Daniel. Just got this little guy last night. My son named him Tank. Hes been hiding most of the time as expected but he did eat some mysis last night. Already such a cool fish.

Is there anyway to tell the sex?

Im going to the grocery store tonight... what should i get for food? all i have now is krill and mysis?

Any advice for a first time puffer owner? The whole family is excited about this fish.

Welcome to the forum. Most uncooked and unseasoned sea food is ok.use the krill as a treat not a staple food as it has links with lockjaw if fed too often

I feed my Hairy with bits of tiger prawn (shell on), earthworms, and woodlice. He's particularly fond of the woodlice and worms. There's snails in the tank, but I don't think he's actively predating them as the numbers haven't dropped much since he went in the tank.
