I seem to have underestimated Piggy's ability to eat. 
That mouth might be small, but it seems to be capable of fitting massive earthworms in. Rather like watching a glutton suck in a giant string of spaghetti. Plus snails, tiger prawns (which I chopped up far too small).
It's very difficult to resist that cute little face, begging at the glass.

I don't think I'm over feeding him, btw. Once a day, until his tummy is slightly rounded. He'd eat all day long if he could though, it's amazing how fast those snails disappeared.
I think they might be in hiding. I'm feeling ever so slightly sorry for them.

Feed sedentary fish like lurkers/ambush predators, only 2x/week. Control yourself!

He's not fully mature yet, will that make a difference? He's about 2.5-3" long.

Thank you! He has ad lib snails, although they seem to have learned to hide PDQ; I'm supplementing the snails with an earthworm, a couple of big woodlice (which he LOVES), and a 1cm piece of tiger prawn - not much prawn on it, I underestimated his appetite and cut them up into tiny, tiny pieces <fool> Is that ok for every other day, or too much/too little?
Big, big learning curve feeding him.
I also removed most of the sand. It's now about 1/2 an inch deep across the tank, and I've taken out all the live plants. They didn't seem to do well in his tank, as opposed to the community tank, where they're thriving. He has artificial ones in there now, as I didn't want to lose the surface area. Plus an Aquamanta 1000EF U and the Fluval 4 in tank filter.

He's a v spoilt Piggy. And I'm overjoyed that he already recognises me, and comes straight up to the glass when I go in the kitchen. He's v active, likes playing in the water spray stream.

Have you seen him eat snails? My Congos never touched them.
