Hey guys im getting these shrimp for my planted tank. I never new you could get diffrent coloured cherry shrimp till I saw these. Ive been told they will interbreed so I should get some intresting babies Does anyone else have any of these?

Nice! When I go to our local cichlid swap meet, there is a long table with about 30 different colorful shrimp species. Not cheap though!

These were £3.99 each, apart from the blue tiger which was £7.99. Got 10% off the total price including delivery to which was a result. The whole lot came to £30.

That's way cheaper than the ones I saw. I'll have to take pics next time I go.

They can get allsorts at maidenhead aquatics usually around £5 each. That's a good score though buddy

when these shrimp interbreed they usually end up reverting back to the natural colors, drab brownish color. the color of the shrimp has been selectively bred to get that color.
I used to have red cherry and blueberry in the same tank before I knew it wasn't an ok thing, ended up with ugly babies that became puffer food. Once I separated the blues from the reds, they bred to color specific babies. Typically your orange, red, blue, snowball, and yellow all are neocaridina and will interbreed and are best to color only tanks.
have never kept the caridinia species (CRS, CBS) but have found if you can manage it, it is best if you want more than 1 color in a tank to house a single type of neocaridina along with a single type of caridina to not get the muddy, drab, natural color babies.

Yeah I never understood the dropping of $30+ on individual colorful invertebrates, but then again to each their own. I'm more practical than some in fishkeeping, no rare hybrids or pure-bred strains for me, no ty.
They do look very nice though!

Wow! Shrimp is expensive in London! I got shrimp out here in Hong Kong the cherry ones at eight for 48hkd which is about £3 something, dirty cheap here! But I'm trying to get the hang of breeding yabbies ATM for my soon to come fahaka puffer
