I have become increasingly interested in these guys. Now a list of inhabitants I have concerns with mixing: longnose hawkfish, 2x full size cleaner shrimp, 1x camel shrimp, 1 x 12"tip to tip red brittle star, 2x blue cheeked gobies. Other inhabitants 2x tank bred clowns and a few chromis. Tank is 150g + 60g sump. Any of this type of puffer if purchased small might fit in ok? Oh nearly forgot 4x large snails and a couple of large hermits. Corals are toadstool leather, finger leather and pulsing xenia

While it's true that tobies aren't as aggressive as, say, porcs and dogface puffs, they're still pufferfish at heart and will probably go after your shrimp. They may or may not pick at corals - I have a few polyps and a mushroom growing on the live rock, nothing major, but my tobies never bothered them. They might chomp on your starfish, too, but as big as it is they probably won't hurt it. I don't think you'll have a problem with your other fish, though. Tobies will happily attack each other, but they pretty much leave other fish alone.

I thought they might go for the shrimp, was kinda hoping that because the shrimp are bigger than the Toby I might get away with it. There is so much contradicting info out there I thought I would check out real life info.

The Valentinis seem to be the best behaved.
