Hi guys, I just picked up a 6 inch Mbu. Love him or her to death.

I have him/her 180g tank set up for now (I know he/she will need a bigger tank down the road).

I tried to find some information in regards to whether puffers in general need moderate current flow (ie. powerhead) or do they like minimal current flow throughout the tank.

Looking forward to seeing a few responses!!

Thanks in advance!

Flow is good to.prevent any dead spots in the tank. The fish won't mind and might enjoy it. Flow is always a good thing

Keep the flow up along the front for exercise and leave slow spots at the back for resting, you can break the flow with rochwork etc. make sure decor is well attached as these monsters can knock many times their own weight over. Plan the monster sized tank needed for this huge critter ASAP.
