I didn't know where to post this, I want to start breeding some snails for the puffers, can I do this in a "betta tank", meaning no oxygen or filter, just frequent water change, or do I need a whole system for them too??? How do you guys do it???

A 5g tank or bucket is really the smallest you want, you will need some sort of filter because snails poop lots.

You do need a filter and a heater. They can survive in an unheated tank, but breed better in warmer water (the same temp you keep tropical fish in). You also need to add calcium in the form of shells or calcium tablets to help them build their shells.
