GSP beak trimming questions

Recently, I noticed my GSP's beak become slightly larger than what I'm normally used to. I have been looking into trimming procedures and plan to use clove oil, but I have never trimmed my puffer's beak before, and I'm not entirely sure if his beak needs to be trimmed. I plan to breed pond snails for frequent feeding soon, but I normally don't feed him any snails.

Here's a link to a photo of puffer's beak:

I am also not sure whether the oil I purchased is the right type I need to use?

His teeth don't look that bad... Not worth risking death with clove oil, to be sure. What's he eating?

I feed him krill, brine shrimp, occasionally dried seaweed, and an occasional treat of blood worms.I just started to feed the puffer pond snails as well.

Snails are good but try cracking open some mussels, for him to scrape those teeth on.
