anyone know any good breed of invert , lobster crab or cray good with any freshwater puffers? i seen a couple youtube vids with people having some lobster like inverts in with thier puffers, wondering what kinds are strong enough to stay in with a big fahaka puffer, was thinking about buying a black scorpian lobster

My Fahaka can eat any invert, even several inches long. Not a good combo at all. Inhabitants of most fahaka's tanks wind up becoming a meal.

Absolutely! The puffers would certainly eat any meat offered to it. On the other hand, if the puffer is a juvie, it would easily be the other way around, with the lobster attacking the puffer, as it was sleeping.

Fahakas are not only fearless but incredibly powerful. Certainly one or the other would have to loose, really not worth the risk.

so what the fahaku puffers just totally decimate the entire Nile river population of fish ? your saying they cant cohabitate at all with any fish what so ever

I tried many things with my fahaka ( who was very docile in comparison to most) and I wish I hadn't. Most things got instantly destroyed from the smallest snail to the largest fish. My fahaka joined a huge plec when he was just a toddler at around 2" and within a day he had taken big chunks from the plecs armour. My big and aggressive cae survived with him purely because the fahaka got bored of chasing him. Unless a ridiculously huge tank is his home not much will live with him especially crustations.

Just to add I meant docile as in he would rarely instantly attack everything to enter his tank like most will. Except my hands which were his favourite chew toys if he could get to them

Trying to co-house predator and prey in captivity is a fool's effort. Never ever consider any hobby tank as the equivalent of the wild. They are not, period.

To rear and maintain live foods for puffers, use a separate and distinct tank for each food for the best long-term results.

Many hobbyists use the parthenogenic crayfish as food items for larger puffers. Care must be taken to never release these into the wild.
