Stars and Stripes puffer How old do they get :)

I have had my going on 12 years. he was only about less than 2 " and now he full size at over 12 " great fish and doing great. start hem in a 75 and now in a 225 from two apt. to a your home 5 years now. just want to know what the avg years for one is. He has move with me alot.
