Hey everyone!
so i have a 36 gal community tank, and i know that no puffer could live in there lol but i was planning when all those fish in there pass on to make it a home for a puffer!
Now my question is which puffer!? i want it to be freshwater and not terribly hard to keep. any suggestions? Also one that wont be very hard to find, i live in manitoba, canada but i am willing to order and have one shipped if need be. thanks for any replies :D

Many fish live 20+ years. I'd set up a new tank for a puffer. ;)

Lol no these fish won't live this long, there like mollies and danios, and if need be I have another tank that I could home some to if it does take too long.

I have looked through the puffpedia but I was hoping someone could let me know which puffer would be the best for a 36 gal tank, like maybe the common puffer (Tetraodon cutcutia). Or maybe one south american puffer, but since the south american won't be in a community would I still have to trim the teeth regularly?

Saps tend to not like being alone, they are loose schoolers and at least 3 should be kept together. What are the dimensions of the tank?

13 depth, 30 length, 21 height. Is this too small?

Yes you need a long footprint for saps otherwise they will glass surf constantly up and down, it's enough to drive you insane

Absolutely, if you decorate well you could house a pair

Well I was thinking to have one figure 8, and would a couple of bumbble bee gobies be okay in there?

Providing your f8 is not a killer they would be ok, it's 50/50. Add the bbg's first with lots of little hidey holes and you stand the best chance
