I live in a hard water area and we are right below farm land so I know excess ferts may be in our supply, can I use this water for my marine tank or would ro be much more suitable? I will seek exact measurements tomorrow.

Cool so rodi is essential, will buy a unit in the near future. Blown loads of money on this so was looking to save a few pennies lol.

ask your local water company what levels should be expected for all potential chemicals in the water supply. Not just fertilsers but chlorinated hydrocarbons, phenols, heavy metals and the like are not recommended for fish.

A good RODI should take the majority of chemicals out but some need more aggresive treatment if industrial effulents are a problem in your catchment area.

Sometimes RO alone is sufficient, sometimes RO + DI is required. Sometimes the RO must be set for high to very high rejection rates, sometimes not.

Some parts of Merrie Olde England have been agricultural/cattle/sheep for so long that the ground water is awful. Some of the worst tap water in the first world is in parts of London.

I am on the south coast, East Sussex. We are surrounded by the downs. Very hard water here, I will stick with rodi water. Thanks guys
