Temperature weirdness

This has been irritating me for years. Here's the oddity...
During regular tank maintenance, the tank water often feels 'too warm' or 'too cold'
The thermometer was reading a steady 25 C
I distrusted the thermometer and got a different one
Same thing, steady 25 C
I got a third one... yep, 25 C
So I have 3 thermometers, a digital LCD internal, a capillary internal and a stick on external, ALL giving the same reading
Does anyone else have this happen, or am I (as my wife calls me) being a weirdo?

Maybe it's your body temp that keeps changing?

It's got to be, I can't think of any other reason.
I was banned from bathing Evie when she was a baby after the wife found her shivvering, covered in soap bubbles, so seems my elbows are as useless as my hands at temperature perception

When your hands are in and out of water at short intervals, you cannot guestimate the temperature.

Body/ambient temperature.
I used to fix fridges and regularly visited places where we had to fix large walk-in freezers that had numerous units on them so even when one went down the others kept the rooms at a good -23DegC. I used to get out the van and step into a nice rainy Newcastle day with outdoor temperatures of, say, 1DegC. But you would work in the freezers for as long as you could handle and then move outside to warm up and it was lovely, that 1 degree rainstorm felt like you were in the middle of an amazoninan rain storm - absolute bliss!
