Should be getting my 2. 500 watt heaters this week but where should I put them? Both in sump? One in sump one in main tank? Where ddo you have yours?

Sump? What tank is this? By all means, if you have a sump put it in there but if it's acrylic, be sure to put it onto a shelf, so it doesn't melt the bottom.

I have one in the overflow and one in the sump in the same chamber as the return pump.

Its a 200 gallon but its in my basement so avg temp is 70 down there, plus if one fails the other can keep up the temp, in the overflow?? Is there enough water on it to keep it from burning up?
