how to improve tank conditions

I know water changes but what else? Denitrators? Carbon or purgein? How can I make my puffers water the best?
200 gallon fresh water fahaka tank with 30% ish wc every 4 days

Just follow my sig. Use Prime as dechlor & you're puffer should be very happy!

Do not over feed.
Feed appropriate foods.
Change water routinely.
Clean substrate routinely.
Run lights on timers.
Do not overstock.
