Hi i have a 6.6g petco bookshelf Aquarium that i used to have a betta in ,i would like to use it to house 6 dwarf puffers would that be to many or should i go for 3 or 4 ,also i plan on feeding frozen food's is that okay or do i have to feed it snails daily ,or can i feed them snails as a treat every now and then .

No more than 2 (1 would be better) & I suggest they are both females: library/puffers-in-focus/dwarfpuffercare/
library/puffers-in-focus/sexing-carinot ... rf-puffer/

I would do 1 and def no more than 2.

I have 4 in a 29g and cannot imagine more than 6 in there. Consider a hotel room and living the rest of your life there with 3 or 4 of your closest friends.

I would put just one in there and decorate heavily. These tiny fish have massive personalities and bad temperament. If you wind up with 2 males you could have aggression issues, often in shops they are too young to sex. A singleton would fill that tank with personality.

Thanks I will go with 1 puffer but iI have been unable to find any at my local fish store .There is chain of stores here on the east coast called petland discounts that said they get them occasionally and that they can order it for me ,but they told me it's a brackish water fish ,will I have a problem acclimating him to freshwater if they have him in a brackish tank.

Thanks for the links very helpful ,i had no luck locating a dp at my local fish store but there is a chain of pets stores called pet land discounts on the east coast where i am located i called a few of them and was told they could order it for me but they told me it is a brackish water fish ,will i have a problem acclimating this puffer to fresh water if it was kept in brackish water.
