I've not been around much but thought I'd ask here.
I'm moving my suvattii into a smaller tank and wanted to know if he's ok to put it today.
I got a tank from a friend yesterday thats been used before, I cleaned the tank then moved some sand the filter and the air pump with half the water from my old tank into the new. So my new tanks got half my old water and half new and the filters been running yesterday and today.
it ok to move him over today?
Cheers and hi Bertie if your still here

Yes I'm still here, welcome. If you used the filter from the suvatti's existing tank and you acclimate him slowly then go for it. On a side note expect some unusual behaviour as he settles to his new surroundings. Harse your user name changed?

Yeah I was suvvatti 2012. And something else before that, I'm not sure if you would remember but I had some problems with my arrowhead with fin rot and he was puffing at his reflection, thankfully he's still going strong and health as ever
He him for nearly 2 Years or so now.
The new tank I won't have to line both sides with plants because its round corners everything is much better styled. It's a few gallon smaller s but taller, the tank came with 5 decent size pieces of lava rock so I think il do him and cave. I will move him in a couple or more hours.
He never has been out of his tank since he was put in so this should be interesting, what's the best way to get him?
He the sort of fish if you try move he just sits there lol I could mabie put a bucket in the tank and try help him in?
Cheers Bertie good to see your still helping the folks.

I think the best way to catch him would be to chase him with a net into some tuppleware and then transfer.

Either Tupperware or some sort of jug will do the trick

Jobs done! he had in slight colour change and a few heavy breaths but that went as good, just sat in the same spot since I put him in lol, it was expected. Left the light off to let him settle in then il grab a pic of him.
Cheers
