Hi Guys, it's a long time since I've been around here!

Just thought I'd pop back to ask about my baileyi tank. I've always (the last few years) had a black beard algae problem in the 3 different tanks this fish has been in, and nothing I've done has prevented it. The rocks and wood - but not the gravel - get absolutely covered in really thick black beard algae very quickly. I was just wondering whether anyone had any suggestions for avoiding it? It hasn't been a problem in the Malawi or Goldfish tanks, or previous plant tanks.

I only have black beard algae in my tanks if I have seriously neglected water changes over an extended period.

How does your tap water profile compare to to your tank water profile? (Nitrate, pH, KH?)
