The Puffer Forum

So I made a thread the other day saying I am looking to start up a 20L for a congo puffer. Today I was informed that I am actually able to use my dads 29 gallon tank and Im pretty exited because it already has a nice stand so I dont need to worry about a stand and it was a hood and everything.

So the only thing I really need to get is a canister filter and I was thinking this one

but since I am using a slightly bigger tank now should I opt for this one?

Also I dont see any congo puffers for sale so I was thinking of going with a hairy puffer that is being sold on aquabid. Does anybody have a hairy puffer or any experience with the seller on aquabid?

Good job on the bigger tank. I am an eheim snob lol so have to recommend one of those, you can pick up old stock cheap now. Search the eheim 2028 ( my absolute favourite cannister). I have heard good things about fluval but like filters that will outlive me. Don't know much about hairy puffers or aquabid I'm afraid.

i'd guess that you were thinking of the Fluval 306
the 206 would be fine, the 306 as well

Oh, the one link was supposed to be for tanks recommended for 45 gallons, the second filter was for like 75 gallons. Also thank you for giving me that website because that was the person selling on aquabid but the listing expired.

Also I will check out those other filters that someone listed above.
