Soo today I started my ip treatment, I bought enough to treat my guy for 14 days and the water once since ii hear the parasites can live in water as well after my treatment I'm going to start updating his tank to a planted tank (I want to make one of those moss and driftwood trees) also after his ip treatment I'm going to set up my ramshorn breeder tank and soaking his food in vitamins love my puffer I want the best for him

You only need to treat for 3-5 days. I'm not sure why you're treating though.

Cuz today when I was watching him I noticed a thin long white stringy looking thing floating around in the water and in the last 2 n half months he grew an inch at most

Soaking in a good vitamin supplement is good practice no need to hold off you can soak in meds and vits. Is he looking pinched after not eating for 24 hours? Although its not necessarily a bad thing to treat just in case, 14 days would be well overboard. Has he been getting any veggies? Mine loved peas, just soak in with meaty foods, vits and a little garlic the first few times and whip the shell off
