New to Puffers but not fishkeeping

Hello all,

I am interested in keeping puffers, however I have no clue where to start. I have access to a 10g, 30g, and 35g. But as far as finances and living situation I believe I'm going to begin with a 10g. I've kept darn near every CA/SA cichlid you can think of, along with many other predatory fish.

My question is what sorts of puffers can I keep in a 10 g (preferably freshwater)? Solitary or groups. Pretty much what are my options at this point?

Thanks,
Mike

Welcome mike. You can get 2 female dwarf puffers for your 10g. All other puffers need a bigger tank. If you want to go the sw route you could get a green spotted puffer for your 30g tank

Welcome to the forum. As stated above dps are your only option for a 10g, puffers are extremely messy critters and plenty of space should be provided. If you could get a 15g low brackish tank a figure 8 puffer would be an option
