We are really getting hit! We already have >5" and are pretty much in white-out. I just can't wait for the winds they are predicting. This is one of those days when you have the downside of living on a ridge...

Yikes!
We've only got about an inch here so far, I expected more.
Hopefully not though, I'd hate to lose power.

My sattilite dish is covered and I have no signal.
Oh the problems of life. How will I go on.

Our temperatures are just above freezing so it's time for some snow to melt

I love snow but I'm getting ready for spring. Walking the dog on ice in the cold isn't all that fun, I miss our long walks of the summer.

Here, the closest experience I can relate to snow is 20years ago when I open my dad's fridge's freezer compartment....

I bet we got less than a couple of inches all season. We just don't get a lot of snow anymore.

No snow in seattle this year. It rains most of the time here. Snow for a few days per year. When the rain or snow does come, then I like to stay home and drink a hot cup of frappuccino next to my fire place and in front of my fish tank. Sit there all day with laptop and my guitar.
Make the best of it.

8" on Tuesday. I think RTR always gets the worst of it though.

It only made it to~6", then changed to rain and melted most of the snow before dark. We only have an inch or two left. Everything was closed, they were predicting 14"+ high winds. We do get severe drifting from the winds, but not this time. It was the same storm that hit PP on Tuesday. She is close to sea level, we are in the (very old) mountains. Any elevation increase gives more show.
It is not rare for our worst storms to come in March. Our son lives out in the Pacific NW - like Terrance- but Marc is in Oregon - they get rain, and more rain, but maybe not as much as Seattle.

The UK is more like the Pacific Northwest in this country. Milder and wetter than most of the USA, my son loves that climate, but it is not me. They have nice ferns and evergreens though....

We've had continuous snow here since November

and still ongoing. Mid winter it was about -4°F.
The bulldozer has made a 2+meter mountain of snow next to our yard

from clearing the street that is 3 houses long.
