Awesome! Crazy puffer kept puffing though! You would think it would have figured out that the diver was not a threat but was merely trying to help.

I'm not sure I'd credit puffers with that level of intelligence. Whales and dolphins, yes (I've seen videos where they appear to understand humans are assisting them, such as when they're tangled in nets). But puffers? I just don't think so, as much as we may love them. :D

A hook should not be pulled out IME. It causes more harm than good.

I hope the puffer will heal up without any infections. Its better than having a hook in the mouth though.

It's nice to see a diver that cares, most of the diver vids on you tube show divers messing/ deliberately upsetting fish. I noticed he was careful with his fingers, he must know what lurks beneath those rubber lips lol
