Would apple snails be a good stable fahaka food?

Look into a tight fitting lid, because those things love to climb out of the tank and go carpet surfing.

I don't believe they breed as fast as the common pest snails

+1 to bertie's comment, which actually is quite an understatement. The big snails are painfully slow to grow unless very large and well- maintained tanks are dedicated to growing them. As they deposit their egg clusters most often on the cover glass or on emergent plants above the water line, the advice to cover the tank well is also a solid requirement. IMHO & IME, they are completely impractical for rearing as feeders. Grocery or seafood store materials are far better and cheaper.

They are sooo slow.

So I got 5 mystery put them in my 50 gal to grow n make sure wernt sick or anything now is it possible that they lay eggs under the water line? I found a cluster of what looked like eggs just under water within a few hrs it broke apart but is it possible they need to kinda learn? Ooorr was it just poo? ( I know they lay eggs above water in order for the eggs to survive)

Their egg cluster are textured like a raspberry. It can be pinkish, cream, or whitish colour. And they do break apart when in constant contact with water.

So I have some old coral I tossed in my snail tank figured its bigger and more surface area then a cuddlebone think it'll help with adding ca to my snail tank? Should I just stick with a cuddlebone instead? Thanks all

I think cuttlefish bone would be more suitable. That is a pure guess though so I would wait for confirmation lol

Cuttlebone is directly fed on by the large (or small) snails - it is easily rasped to provide them with needed minerals by direct consumption, not via solution in the water, so is far more effective. But it must be weighted down to keep it accessible. The soft side should be accessible.

By the way, it is cuttlebone, as in from cuttlefish, not cuddlebone. There is nothing "cuddly" about it.
