Fin scars from Ich

I recently had an Ich outbreak which has since cleared up. My Porcupine Puffer was pretty bad with ich all over his body and fins. All the ich is gone, but he still has white spots on his fins. There are no granular looking things, so I think they are scars. Is this possible? He acts fine and isn't scratching at all.

Try SW Melafix to heal his skin. I always recommend that in conjunction with any external parasite treatments. BTW, SW fish don't get Ich, it's a FW disease.

Yes, SW "Ich" is not Ich at all, that is a FW disease, Ichthyophthirius multifiliis:

The SW parasite is actually, Cryptocaryon irritans.

Cryptocaryon irritans is the technical lingo but to meet on common ground its refered to as saltwater ich because of the mainstreem misconseption

It's the real, scientific name. Common name is "Crypt". I did not write that article on SW "Ich", as it is commonly mis-named.
