In search of pufferfish

Today I called several pet stores looking for small freshwater puffers, tank is ready to go..but has no puffer. Anyways, I got some interesting responses.
Store 1
me: do you have any freshwater puffer fish?
them: we have lots! let me transfer you to the fish department.
I get super excited and to a quite happy dance.
them: hello, fish department
me: do you have any freshwater puffer fish?
them: oh yeah, we have sailfins and plecostomus.
me: I have never heard of puffers with those names.
them: well we got'em
me: are you sure they are PUFFER fish?
them: yep.
me: do they look like green spotted puffers?
them: oh! You mean puffer fish! I thought you said sucker fish. no we don't have any puffers.
I was TOTALLY bummed out
Store 2
me: got any freshwater puffers?
them: well, ACTUALLY, they are brackish water and we don't have them.
me: no I don't want brackish puffer, I want freshwater.
them: they only come in brackish water
me: there are lots of fresh water puffers
them: they only come in brackish water
I see that the conversation is going no where and I hang up the phone.
Store 3
Website says in bold letters "I CAN ORDER ANY FISH YOU WANT!"
me: can you order freshwater water puffers? are they on your stock list?
them: I can get greenspots and f8s
me: I really want freshwater, not brackish water.
them: oh yeah those are brackish water.
me: so you can't order any freshwater puffer at all?
them: no
After that conversation, I found that the promises made on his website were slightly deceptive.
Store 4
Me: do you have any puffer fish at all?
them: oh no, you should go to Wal-Mart. They have them, but they are all sick.
me: I don't want a sick one.
them: well you could try...
At this point she lists all of the stores I just called.
Oh, the things we do to find water puppies. Why can't I want a fish that stores actually sell? Aquabid, here I come.
