I wonder if that is natural colouring though, it almost looks like he has been painted. Maybe one for Corvus
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Not an uncommon practice to put dye in the fish sadly enough.bertie 83 wrote:I wonder if that is natural colouring though, it almost looks like he has been painted. Maybe one for Corvus

Neat!
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

It says it is a color morph only found near some islands. I wonder if it is possible to dye/paint a puffer with their thick skin?bertie 83 wrote:I wonder if that is natural colouring though, it almost looks like he has been painted. Maybe one for Corvus

True. Not totally restricted to the Solomon Islands AFAIK, but found there.purplecandle wrote:It says it is a color morph only found near some islands...bertie 83 wrote:I wonder if that is natural colouring though, it almost looks like he has been painted. Maybe one for Corvus

Re: Thought this was a unique looking dogface
Oh, and I doubt puffers are dyed. Young Diodon spp. can be quite colorful in nature. But I'm not 100% sure, too often people have surprised me with doing stupid things.

Re: Thought this was a unique looking dogface
Not specifically, just random talk at the LFS some time ago when they had a blue porcupine puffer. Not to say the blue one was dyed, but they mentioned porcs occasionally being dyed, at least before. No idea about today. In truth I am not sure if it was truedefool89 wrote:Tim,
