He is currently house together with my 2.5inches GSP in a 50gallon tank. First day i feed bloodworm to my GSP but valentini didnt join in the feast. So i thought might not be his cup of tea. I bought feeder shrimps today. I release them into the tank. After awhile I saw valentini trying to give his attack several times and all failed! hahaha! This puffer seems kinda clumsy?! he is a predator and cant even catch any shrimp.. he only eat those leftover shrimps parts from my GSP. Is valentini suppose to be like that? he is ard 4inches but his mouth looks kinda small to me.. Any advice for me?

He is most likely intimidated by the bigger more aggressive gsp. Try multiple feeding points in the tank. Be prepared to separate these 2 as they are normally incompatible.

I agree with Bertie. Size doesn't matter in concerns of a puffer's ability to bully. The tiny dwarf puffer would kick ANY fish's buttocks.

When my fahaka was tiny he beat up a plec nearly 10 x his size. It's amazing how powerful and scary even the smallest puffers can be lol

Tobies aren't overly aggressive. GSP's, on the other hand, can be quite ferocious. I would wholeheartedly expect a GSP to bully a larger fish.
