Treating gill flukes with tetra parasite guard. I have 3 f8's. Treatment doesn't seem to be going as good as I hoped. Actually I can see a small white thing hanging out of ones gill. Should I do a salt dip or mix up a bowl of parasite guard and dip him in it? How much and which one?! Thanks

I would not directly dip the fish. Puffers have an unusually high uptake of medications because they are scaleless and do not have gill plating. Try adding aquarium salt, bring up the temperature in the tank, and continue the current treatment too. Please keep us informed and if they don't clear up shortly there are other anti parasitic meds that will escalate the treatment but are a little more difficult to use.

There is no such material as "Aquarium Salt". Products offered as such are whatever any given company chooses to package and so label. Not in my fish tanks, not ever!

I'm not sure why you'd add salt to an already BW tank?

*sigh* Early morning answer...I didn't even realize it was a brackish tank.
